LouVino OTR Restaurant and Wine Bar: A Culinary Gem in Cincinnati

We had brunch - the food was great, the drinks were good, and our waitress ( also the bartender) was super sweet with a cheery personality. Highly recommend.

We had reservations for 5 PM, right when the restaurant opened, but they warmly welcomed us in early—a kindness we greatly appreciated, given the frigid wind outside. It didn’t help that we were dressed for the ballet rather than winter weather, making the cozy atmosphere all the more inviting. From the start, our server, Brandon L., struck the perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing, exuding a natural talent for hospitality. He greeted us warmly, ensured our drinks arrived before we even thought to ask, and even apologized for the music not playing when we first arrived—though we hadn’t even noticed. True to his word, within 30 seconds, the music was on, setting the perfect ambiance. As first-time visitors, we were grateful for his eloquent menu recommendations. He graciously provided wine samples for my cousin before she committed to a choice, and his suggestions did not disappoint. I had been looking forward to dining here for quite some time, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The food was spectacular. The filet was tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection. The medley of mushrooms, asparagus, and Parmesan potato gratin complemented the meal beautifully. I also enjoyed a cosmo—or two (wink)—which were expertly crafted and swiftly served. Brandon took the time to ask what brought us out, and we shared that it was a girls' night before the ballet. When dinner was over, he inquired if we had time for dessert. When we said yes, he graciously offered us stuffed beignets on the house as a welcome for first-time guests. I have to say, I would have happily paid for them—they were flawless. We lingered and chatted after our meal, and Brandon never once made us feel rushed, which is something I truly appreciate. While we were mindful not to overstay and impact his earnings, we comfortably relaxed for 10–20 minutes after settling the bill. The restaurant's ambiance made it easy to enjoy our time—it wasn’t too noisy, nor was it too quiet. It struck the perfect balance for a date night, a celebration, or, in our case, three women dressing up for a fun evening before a show. I would absolutely rate this restaurant a 10/10. The hospitality was outstanding, the food was some of the best I’ve had in a long time, and the overall experience far surpassed places like Embers in Kenwood and other overpriced establishments. LouVino truly blew them out of the water and at a much more reasonable price point.

My wife and I were bar hopping and came across Louvino's. We had never heard of it, but we left Japp's and thought we'd give it a try. We are super glad we did. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink. We decided to order some food and it was absolutely delicious. I had the double smash burger (no bun) and a side salad. My wife had the shrimp and grits. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The service was good and the staff was friendly. It is almost immediately off The Connector, so super easy to get to. Go if you get the chance.

Update 3/29/25: Came for bruch. Service was very good. Trenton is very helpful and friendly. Ask for him when you dine in. Original: We went on Valentine's day. The service was slow, and our waiter not very prompt, and didn't check/ask us if the food was OK or we need more water etc. The food was not very impressive. There are many other restaurants around that are much better food, and service!! This is one of those places that I tried and won't go back there for the food!!

Loved the brunch! Order a carafe and champagne and then fit the tables flavor with a mix of juices. Make reservations and there is a private seating downstairs that is alot quieter and has large and small group seating with a personal server and a TV to watch your favorite sports teams. The salmon belly eggs Benedict was absolutely the best inahev ever had.... If you have never tried salmon belly highly recommend. Biscuits and gravy and the loaded tots were also popular with our group.

We really enjoyed our dinner here before an FCCincy soccer game! The burger was awesome I would definitely get it again. Everyone else I was with also enjoyed their meals and drinks! Friendly expeditious service. They also offered a 10% food discount for “game day” with the proof of tickets to a local game so that was an added bonus.

Popular brunch spot on the weekends. We had the pancake tacos and the fried chicken tacos with loaded tots. Everything was delicious! My husband absolutely loved the loaded tots! I only wish the food had come out a little bit hotter. Our service was good. However, the food did take a while. It wasn't a problem for us, but it is something to be aware of if you are on a schedule.
